To make a reservation please email us at info@shalomplacedc.org. Please have a couple tentative dates in mind in case your first choice is unavailable as well as an approximate number of people that will be coming in your group. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. The months of March, April and May are particularly busy times for us.
Once a date is confirmed we will hold your reservation until we receive your deposit. Deposits are due four weeks after the initial reservation is made.
How much does staying at Shalom Place cost?
The cost is $30 per person per night. Your total fee will be:
(# of people) x (# of nights) x $30 = total.
The facilities include a kitchen, showers, and beds; groups provide their own food, towels, bedding, and transportation. Some financial aid may be available to groups which could not otherwise stay at Shalom Place.
Additional Reservation Information
Deposits
After the initial reservation is made the Shalom Place coordinator will email you a Deposit Packet that includes two agreement forms and an invoice form for your deposit.
- A 50% deposit is required four weeks after your initial reservation in order to hold the reservation.
Final Payments
Once we receive your initial deposit, Shalom Place will invoice your group for the remainder of the cost of your accommodations. The balance is due two weeks before you arrive at Shalom Place.
Changes in Group Numbers
After your final payment is due and changes in your group numbers occurs please be aware of the following:
- If the number of participants has increased, please contact the Shalom Place coordinator to ensure space availability. We will give you the additional payment balance and an appropriate due date.
- If the number of participants has decreased after the due date, we are
unable to make any refunds.
Cancellations and Refunds
- If your group cancels 3 full months in advance, a full refund will be given or you may rebook your stay.
- If your group cancels 1 to 3 months in advance, there is no reimbursement of deposit but your group may rebook.
- If your group cancels less than 1 month in advance there is no reimbursement of deposit or balance paid.
Final Payments
Once we receive your initial deposit, Shalom Place will invoice your group for the remainder of the cost of your accommodations. Two months before you arrive at Shalom Place, this non-refundable balance is due.
Additional Costs
Leaders are responsible for keys and clean up of facilities. A $125 cleaning and key deposit is due with the second payment. As part of our low cost, we ask that you help us prepare for the next group’s arrival by cleaning Shalom Place before you leave. If this is not done or other damages from your group are found then the security deposit will not be returned. If Shalom Place is cleaned, keys are returned, and no damages are found, the $125 will be refunded.
