Bedrooms
Shalom Place is equipped with two large dorm-style rooms that can accomodate up to 24 guests. One room can be divided to hold two groups of six people each. You provide the linens. The facility has men’s and women’s restrooms with showers.
Kitchen & Lounge
Shalom Place has a large kitchen that comes complete with two refrigerators, a stove, microwave, dishwasher and sink. All you have to bring is the food!
Folding tables and chairs are available for you to share meals together and enjoy a fellowship opportunity.
Sit back and relax in the Shalom Place Lounge! Comfy couches and chairs greet you after your day. The Lounge is a great place to reflect on the day’s activities or simply hang out. Shalom Place Lounge has TV and VCR, and internet and a telephone are available.
The Building
Shalom Place is a ministry of Metropolitan Memorial UMC, located in the heart of D.C.’s Glover Park neighborhood.
Shalom Place has a private, secure entrance at the rear of the church building. Located right off our parking lot, it’s just a quick trip up a flight of steps to the comforts that Shalom Place offers. The parking lot can accommodate several cars or passenger vans.
